Could it be a dog’s life?*
November 21st * Seems that, at Dan’s, dogs are in. NOTE: our Christmas breakfast is December 19th. Time to start looking for a $20 gift.

Sean Baylis. Sean is n ot thrilled by Retail Week (retail industry reports are coming in low). Home Depot is a bit of a let down. Lowes and Macy’s are worse. REITS may have to pay the piper if retail continues to wallow. TD Ameritrade is now a part of Charles Schwab. Food retailers seem to be doing ok. CP Rail is up a bit while CN is on strike. If you like ‘robotics’, there is now an ETF trading in such things things things things…
Jim Bladon.
Paul Boucher. O nly in America: you can ask the NYBB folks to help you collect invoices. Worked for Paul! Here in Canada, he’s still chasing the scofflaw who owes Paul $8,000. Meanwhile, he’s voicing for CN, AHS, Ag/Alta and Dora the Explorer.
Ian Campbell: You, too, can be an Apple Genius. (Well, maybe not you or me, Gerry). But Ian’s working on it: seems the Apps that help control hearing aides are needing a little Ian-care & Attention. A little too much, actually.
Matt Dart.
Don Davis.
Todd Dean:
George Doherty. He and Karen did the Tram thing in Palm Springs. It’s just another way to get high there. They also did the Indian Canyon hike, snakes and all.
Don Doolan . He’s wanting an AGM for Birds.
Tony Fisher. He’s still liking Jeremy Farkas. Seems there’s quite a following for this straight-talking, business-oriented Councillor. Nenshi look out!
Gord Forsyth . Like attracts like? Gord likes the Gord Lightfoot documentary on TV. It’s titled “If I could Read your Mind.”
Mel Gibson. Ch eck your home insurance policy to see if you have insurance on ripping up sewer/water lines connecting your house to the city system on their property. It’s a modest price to add it on … with major savings should this line fail. • Mama Mia is at Stage West and well worth your attendance.
Henry Heuver.
David Hicks .
Dan Kennelly. He and his family are ‘fostering’ a dog for a little while. How long is ‘a while’? We’ll see.• He’s not happy with stats for equalization payments. See https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/how-alberta-pays-quebecs-bills-four-charts-that-show-alberta-picks-up-the-tab
Matt Litke.
Andy Lockhart. He has good things to say about AHS: his hand operation was done and he was sent home within a 3-hour window.
JD. MacDonald. Some weeks are better than others. This has been one of the good ones.
Michael McLennan. Atabotics uses Michael’s printers (3D) and he mentions it because Andy also speaks highly of the firm. It has performed amazingly well; grown like a wonderful weed and will likely need more capital which could lead to … anything. Stay tuned.
Ross Mikkelsen . Ross’ POV was summed up by his thoughtful pause, head shake and muttered, “no good news”.
Mike Mikkelson.
Brad Pachal.
Gerry Parcells.
Dwayne Vinck. If you have good tax accountant, you probably know that dividend sharing is now a no-no and that spousal tax relief is screwy … but fear not, Dwayne has the knowledge you need (if you need it). Or not. • West High Yield is no longer a part of D’s life.
Bob Wiggins . He encourages you to listen to this inspiring Ted Talk from the the man who helped make Village Brewery what it is today: https://youtu.be/4SOKTFfAM6M
