Minutes of July 23

TOWEL ALERT! The Drop In Centre is in dire need of Towels. Please bring some to Birds on Thursday. Andy will collect them and take them to the DI.

Bird Golphers: have you called George Doherty about the Birds’ tourney on August 27th? If not, please do: 403-239-3696 or on his cell at 403-510-5448

Members:

Brett Bain.   Phoenix bound w all the little ones. The first thing he will teach them is: never go barefoot on Arizona pavement in July.

Sean Baylis.

Jim Bladon.

Paul Boucher. Windows 10 is coming to a PC near you. It may be awesome (for Microsoft users) but it will not be perfect. See the link from Bob Wiggins for more on this subject – which will be popping up for the next few months, I am sure. • Paul is getting work via his LinkedIn page. (Me thinks it be time I actually read my copy of LinkedIn for Dummies.)

Greg Callander.

Ian Campbell.  Given his druthers, Paskapoo will remain as is. Natural, wild and accessible. • Used to be, parents dragged their kids, kicking and screaming, into the Dr’s office. Now it is those same kids dragging their hard-of-hearing parents into the Audiologist’s office. It is a funny sort of comeuppance for all participants. Hear. Here.

Don Davis

Todd Dean. Life is interesting with punchball, car-tripping (with son) and funnel clouds.

George Doherty.

Don Doolan.

Ken Eades.

Tony Fisher.

Gord Forsyth.

Mel Gibson.

Henry Heuver. It’s what you can’t see is what you should worry about. Seems the hard hit hail areas are full of bruised trees. The hail doesn’t hurt the bark; it hurts what’s under the bark.

David Hicks.   Salt water, water everywhere. But not a drop can be wasted along the sunshine coast or in Vancouver.

Bill Hoogstratten.

Dan Kennelly.

Randy Kott. You’ve heard of designated hitters and drivers? Well now we have two designated pro-sports attendee-Professionals: Chris and Randy. RK just caught a California soccer game and also watched the Oakland A’s send the Yankees home in shame, after losing 1 to 14.

Keith Kozak.

Matt Litke. (He was here but I must have been day dreaming …)

Andy Lockhart .

J.D. MacDonald.

Michael McLennan.

Ross Mikkelsen.   Somewhat awed by the success of Amazon Prime. It’s a members-only service at Amazon. Same day sales over last year’s are up 266 percent. Other stats are the stuff of a retailer’s wet dreams and therefore unmentionable, here, on this family-rated site.

Mike Mikkelson.

Gerry Parcells.

Bruce Roblin.

Dwayne Vinck. Not that he really needed to be reminded but he was truly surprised when he walked into his 25th Wedding Anniversary party.

Bob Wiggins.   About to be clobbered – I mean, thrilled, – by Windows 10. Yeah, baby.

Chris Wright.

George Roberts.  Words work when written well.
